I am considering manufacturing a line of jewelry I have designed. How do I find a reputable manufacturer?
Written by Jewelry on January 31, 2010I am familiar with the process of manufacturing apparel. I would like to produce a line of jewelry. Any suggestions on a reputable manufacturer would be greatly appreciated. The line will consist mainly of white and yellow gold necklaces and bracelets. Thanks!

This would be like manufacturing a line of clothes, but you would be financing your own designs for your company.
You could look around for a partner to help with the costs.
Many universities have classes that students major in Art and jewelry making and designing. Or you could see if a jeweler would help in the making.

Good news. I am a sourcer for jewelry manufacturing for import into the US. I source the mfg in SE Asia (China/Thailand) and Mexico depending on the styles and shipping requirements.
I would need samples (pics) of what you want made with more info (do you have a dist channel? Mfg lead time? Qty’s, etc.) before I could point you in the right direction.
There are also many other metals your jewelry could be succesfull with. (Silver, Paladium, Stainless Steel, etc..) These are typically less expensive than gold and easier to stock. Will you have a sample line?
