How to wear jewelry to compliment your look?
Written by Jewelry on November 11, 2009I have never really worn jewelry and im not sure what to watch for when wearing it. Im almost 25, weird i know but what im asking is How do i know what jewelry goes with what? Mostly im curious about necklaces and earrings and how to know when to wear certain types of them, for example i love the chandelier style. Any advice would be great thanks
Thanks for all the advice, i really appreciate it. I Like dangling earings because they seem to soften my facial features up a bit. I wound up with my fathers looks somehow.

The key is to not have too much at the same time
1) for chandelier earrings do a dainty necklace or go bare neck
2) for a statement necklace(a bold necklace) do small studs
3) rings I just wear 3 , if you do a cocktail ring you could wear either a statement necklace or you chandelier earrings
4) huge bangles just do studs and a dainty necklace
basically if you showoff one piece mute the rest

if you’re outfit is a little plain, chandelier necklaces are good
if you already have a lot going on with your outfit, keep the Accessories to a minimum (earrings, maybe a bracelet or small necklace)

well jst try to match but not to the extrem
make shure when u wear some big earing and they look really good dont wear no necklaces that will over do it.
and if ur waering a big necklace make shure you wear small diamond earings or pearl earing just something small.!

wear a plain dark colored shirt with a big (i mean low, not huge) silver or gold necklace
Navy blue and silver are cute together
if u wear earrings, try putting ur hair up in a sophisicated bun
if u have a shirt with sort of deep neckline, a necklace with a charm that rests right between ur collarbones is good.

I happen to love jewelry so much that I almost feel like an expert. LOL I would recommend getting a few pieces that will combine with many colors, like neutrals. Long necklaces are great with anything right now. You don’t always have to match and also, too much can look tacky. Get a magazine and go from there. My advice is don’t be scared to try new things, and if you like it, then that’s what matters!
Try shopping at Forever 21, or Charlotte Russe, they have cute and inexpensive stuff!
Good Luck and Have fun accessorizing!!

Don’t let your jewelry compete with your clothes and makeup. If your clothes are busy in cut or pattern, wear something simple. If your clothes are plain, wear something that really makes a statement.
