How can I start an online jewelry business?

Written by Jewelry on March 13, 2010

I’ve been making jewelry for a long time. Currently I sell it to friends and family, but have been told many times that I should give online a shot. I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions?

If you don’t already know how to build a website yourself, you need to start by hiring a web designer. Or you could start selling stuff right away on ebay.

Get yourself organized on EBAY and you’ll sell like crazy. Make sure you have enough stock on hand.

Try ebay. You can make an ebay "store" and sell your jewelry.

Apparently your not into web design so if you have a decent source of income you might want to pay for a website designer. Call around the local companies and get some quotes, they are expensive from time to time. Let them know the basics of what you want. Or talk to friends and relatives if anyone knows a person who is a web designer that can work hands-on with you for a couple days to work things out.. could cost you around $500 for a day or two of serious work. Once that is accomplished, and you pick a sleek name you have to implement a payment process, and shipping process…There is about a milllion other things you need to do as well.. If you do not have a business degree you may need to also hire someone to do the business aspects, if you start a legitamate business, theres lots to go with it.. the web design is a start…
